Core to MTN Capital’s investment philosophy is the belief that financial and investment expertise must be paired with industry and corporate expertise. For each of its investments, MTN brings in a corporate executive with decades long experience in the industry of the target. This industry expert helps MTN vet its investment thesis, assists in the due diligence process and then either serves on the board or joins the management post-closing.  We founded the “Corporate Executives in Private Equity” group in LinkedIn to regularly communicate with a select group of senior corporate executives who assist us in our investment process.

Executives have brought in the past several deals to MTN. MTN’s most successful investment was a deal brought to MTN by a corporate executive whom we appointed as CEO of the target. We can partner with an executive in one of two ways: by pursuing together a specific investment target identified by the executive or by pursuing together potential targets in an industry that the executive knows well.
